PlantFest is back! After a four-year hiatus HPSO’s fall plant sale PlantFest will be returning to PCC Rock Creek Campus on Saturday, September 30th. Here’s your chance to stock up on choice summer perennials, hardy tropicals, and shrubs with long seasons of interest, perfectly primed for fall planting! Let’s face it, some plants need an entire growing season to look good.
Preston Pew, Cistus Design Nursery, will present: Pairing western natives and other Mediterranean plants for beauty and resilience.
Preston Pew is a horticulturist and co-owner of Cistus Design Nursery in Portland, Oregon. His experience in private gardens, and as the horticulturist for Pacific Connections Garden at the University of Washington Botanic Gardens, has instilled in him a respect for and understanding of the role of maintenance in establishing resilient, beneficial, and attractive gardens.
Lecture program starts at 10:00am in the auditorium in Building 9, followed by a brief Q&A at 11:00am.
