Spring Garden Fair: April 30 and May 1 at the Clackamas County Event Center

What began as a Mother’s Day fuchsia sale in 1984 has become one of the most anticipated events in the Portland area. The second Spring Garden Fair consisted of just about 20 vendors. The event now hosts close to 100. In the years since that first sale, the Spring Garden Fair has added several features, including free pH soil testing, new plant introductions featuring a silent auction, the Garden Fair raffle, free plant check, plant taxi’s where students tow your purchases for tips, and a potting station to purchase pots and plant them up with garden soil at the fair. They added a full food court in 2009 that has been very popular, and invited the Portland Iris Society to hold their spring show on Sunday.

The Clackamas County Master Gardener Association acts in collaboration with and in support of the Oregon State University Extension Service Master Gardener Program.
