Your garden is alive 12 months a year, and if you want to relate to it, you don’t have to wait for the first flush of spring. There’s plenty to do midwinter, and some of it doesn’t even involve going outside.
Oregon State University has posted a January Garden Calendar that lists things you can do, from planning for future plantings, to preventing or cleaning up winter damage. It’s a good time to monitor for pests outside, and there’s always the joy of houseplants and indoor gardening!
