Garden Future project helps gardeners grow climate resilient gardens

Oregon State University has partnered with the Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program to launch the Garden Future project, an online resource and community gathering place to offer climate resilience advice and programing.

The website has upcoming events and webinars, a resource section with a curated list of OSU information related to climate resilience in the garden, and an invitation to join the conversation. “We ask folks to answer a few simple questions about what they are seeing in their gardens and what resources we can help them find,” said Brooke Edmunds Ph.D., OSU Extension Service.

The information is broad as well as deep, including topics such as changes in planting zones, dealing with extreme heat, extended growing seasons, water management, increased pests and diseases, invasive species, soil health and more.
