Take your pumpkin creativity to another level

Anyone can carve a jack-o’-lantern but you can take your pumpkin decorating skills to another level with classes at area nurseries this month that will help you create beautiful fall-themed centerpieces as well as planters utilizing pumpkins.
Garland Nursery, 5470 N.E. Highway 20 in Corvallis: Pumpkin Centerpiece Workshop, October 11 at 11 a.m. and October 26 at 1 p.m. Bring home a gord-geous one-of-a-kind fall centerpiece that will last through the season. Farmington Gardens, 466 S.E. Baseline St. in Hillsboro. Decorate a pumpkin or gourd with different dried materials, pods, and a choice of succulents. Materials provided with purchase. Cost is $35 and advance online purchase is required. October 4 at 10–11 a.m., noon–1 p.m. and 2–3 p.m.; October 18 at 10–11 a.m., noon–1 p.m., and 2–3 p.m.
