Join Yamhill County Master Gardeners for Spring into Gardening

Yamhill County Master Gardeners and Oregon State University will present their Spring into Gardening gardening classes from 8:45 a.m.−4 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at the Keck Science Center at Linfield College, 356 Linfield Ave. in McMinnville.
Come ready to load up on knowledge at sessions on flowers, climate and gardens, presented in different tracks and time slots so that participants can pick and choose which ones to attend.
Flowers track: 9 a.m. Kenn Parry presents on lilies, 10:30 a.m. Carol Adelman presents on peonies, 1 p.m. Paula Lupcho presents on roses and at 2:30 p.m. Michael O’Laughlin presents on the Oregon Bee Atlas.
Climate track: 9 a.m. Thomas Van Hevelingen presents Science of Drought and Appropriate Plant Selection, 10:30 a.m. Darren Morgan presents Resilient Gardens, 1 p.m. Chris Daley presents USDA Hardiness Zones and at 2:30 p.m. Muriel Nesbitt presents Bio-Diversity.
Gardens track: 9 a.m. Darren Morgan presents Leafy Greens, 10:30 a.m. Jessica Green presents Common Garden Insects and How to Control, 1 p.m. John Stables presents Irrigation and at 2:30 p.m. Gwynne Mhurireach presents Microbes.
Cost: $40 per attendee, add lunch for $17. Snacks are provided.
