After a two-year hiatus, The Oregon Garden is set to welcome visitors back to its much-beloved annual Earth Day event, taking place 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022.
To ensure the health and safety of our guests, this year’s event will take place entirely outside. Guests are encouraged to come prepared to celebrate the Earth and learn about their environment rain or shine! Visitors can enjoy several activities throughout the day, including:
- Visiting educational exhibitors, each with a hands-on activity
- Ordering yummy food from local food trucks
- Learning about forest management in the Rediscovery Forest
- Making a kid-friendly craft in the Children’s Garden
- Taking a narrated tram tour in the Garden’s brand-new tram
- Exploring the 80-acre botanical garden while learning about sustainability and conservation
- Shopping in the Garden’s Visitor Center Gift Shop
- Getting a fresh coffee or pastry from Little Life Cafe, also located inside the Visitor Center
- … and more!
Admission to Earth Day is free! A $5 donation is suggested to help support the mission of The Oregon Garden.
Parking is available on site for $5 per car. Members always park for free. A free park-and-walk lot is available at Robert Frost Elementary, located across from the garden at 201 Westfield St.
Earth Day at The Oregon Garden is sponsored by Marion County Environmental Services.
