DESCRIPTION:Behind the Shoji: Annual Summer Marketplace\, June 21–September 1. For more than a decade\, Behind the Shoji has been one of Portland Japanese Garden’s most anticipated summer traditions. It’s an annual show and sale of Japanese and Japanese-inspired wares. Visitors can purchase from a variety of curated items that\, even with a trip to Japan\, might be difficult to come across. This garden is excited to be showcasing items that will bring the ingenuity and beauty of Japanese design to your home. Come by and peruse the stunning collection\, featuring furniture\, lighting\, and décor. Free with admission to garden. \nPortland Japanese Garden is located in Washington Park at 611 S.W. Kingston Ave. and is open 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Wednesdays–Mondays. Last entry is at 5:30 p.m. and guests must leave by 6:30 p.m. Admission is $22.50\, $19.50 for seniors 65 and over\, $16.50 for youths age 6–17. Children under 5 are free.

For an added cost\, wander through rows of sunflowers\, zinnias\, cosmos and more\, and hand-pick your own bouquet of flowers to take home in a jar. Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is located at 33814 S.
