Something Green

“Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.”
—Pedro Calderón de la Barca, 17th- century Spanish playwright

According to http://www.sensationalcolor.com/, “Green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye than most colors, and is second only to blue as a favorite color. The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of cool and warm (blue and yellow) undertones. Green is considered the color of peace and ecology.

The color green affects us physically. It’s soothing. It relaxes mentally as well as physically. It helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety. And it offers a sense of renewal, self-control [Editor’s note: except when in a garden center surrounded by plants!], and harmony.

Go ahead. Plant something green! It can be considered relatively cheap therapy and a great value.
