Potluck/Barbeque/Crafts/Silent Auction/Live Auction/Fun Activities for kids/workshops/campout in your favorite bamboo grove (optional)/singing around the campfire.

10am – 3pm

Bamboo vendors, live plants and crafts for sale, continuous fan-making workshop for children, ending with a live bamboo auction with our dynamic auctioneer, Ian Connor.


Jessica Zalapa Murillo

Bambas Bicicletas con Bambu – Bambues y Forestales de Mexico – Will be the featured speaker at Ned’s Bask and the Portland Bamboo Festival. Jessica and her group are recipients of a Ned Jaquith Foundation grant bringing home-made bamboo bike to the inner city as inexpensive sustainable transportation. Why Bamboo? Because it’s strong, beautiful and it’s there!
